I tried to help with two different situations that were going on simultaneously, but felt , " talked down to" , even though I I have a masters degree, lol. This is why cops are known as assholes
I've been there it's cool
I moved to the nice part of Huntington station sept 2015 to give my teenage brother better schooling and a healthy environment. We lost our parent's young and are young people trying to make it in expensive long Island. It's a nice quiet town not a big police presence. So when my brother I look out for told me the police are always harassing him, I figured maybe they just gave him a hard time for driving a old car in a nicer area. Complained again in January then in February. Said he didn't get tickets, just stopped and searched like a shake down. I was concerned but just made sure his car was good to go with inspection and equipment. He works 2 jobs and goes to School he need's to drive. Again in April he was upset about the police stopping him for nothing looking for DRUGS. He's a good kid so it's fine nothing to worry about just cooperate. On may 16th the unexpected happened. I asked my brother to give me a ride. 6 blocks from my house we get stopped and illegally searched by officer pezza and 3 other offices. With no cause or reason we are pulled from the car and treated like criminals. Car was searched without permission as was the glove box. I'm 34 and work 55 hours a week to live here, never been charged with 1 crime in my life. And here I have another grown man slap his hand upward between my legs. I felt violated so bad. I tried to record the officer in the car tearing it up but they took my phone out of my hands. Finally after asking 20 times why we were treated like that officer fezza said the car smelled? LIKE WHAT? then finally said it was because my little brother's record! I feel SO bad I didn't take my brother more seriously in the beginning.. in the end he got a brake light ticket and fail to signal which he did signal. Unreal...
I do not have the right words to express how incredible the desk officer was today. He was helpful, courteous, took his time going through everything and I walked out thanking God for the police officers at the Suffolk County 2nd Precinct. Thank you!
I will never take the SCPD for granted. They were at my door in less then 3 minutes. For that I am grateful!
